Finally!  After a huge off season, season 2018 kicks off in earnest with our first trial day Sunday against Narrabeen.  82 of our teams from U6 upwards will take to the field for the first time this year across Boondah Reserve and Careel Bay.

The BBQ and Canteen will be open at Careel from 8am, and the Club Shop is up and running for any last minute purchases.

NSW Active Kids Rebate Scheme is open!

Use you NSW Active Kids Voucher for Avalon Soccer Club Registration

The NSW government’s Active Kids Scheme information is now active and parents can apply online via the https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-active-kids-voucher.
Parents will first need to create a “MYSERVICENSWACCOUT”  and you will need your medicare card with the details for the students you are applying for.
The active kids code can be applied to your soccer registration via https://www.playfootball.com.au/player/player-registration  from the 1st of February at the payment screen.  You will be entitled to $100 off each child’s registration for 2018

Community Coaching Courses

The MWFA is pleased to announce its community coaching course dates for 2018. The MWFA will again be offering coaches the opportunity to develop their skills and pick up some ideas and coaching behaviours to help organise fun, safe and engaging sessions. The MWFA is committed to making coach development flexible and accessible to all of our stakeholders.

Courses offered include:-

 ALDI MiniRoos Certificate

The ALDI MiniRoos Certificate is a 3 hour course which is designed for MiniRoos coaches.

 This is a FREE course but online registration is still compulsory

 Skill Training Certificate

The Skill Training Certificate is designed for coaches working with players in the Skill Acquisition Phase (SAP) aged 9-13 and it helps coaches to learn to facilitate SAP sessions focusing on the four core skills of football (First Touch, Running With The Ball, Striking The Ball, 1v1). In 2018 the MWFA will be piloting the Skill Training Certificate as a flexible 14 hour program that incorporates a minimum of 7 hours on course face to face contact time and then post course support for coaches to complete the course by completing 2 self-reflections, be mentored and supported by their club CCC or attend one of the MWFA coaching workshops at your club or at Cromer Park.

The cost of the course is $90 which upon completion of the course is fully refunded to you if you are an MWFA registered coach in 2018

 Game Training Certificate

This course is aimed at coaches training players aged 13-17. In the Game Training Phase the coaches aim is to develop tactical awareness, perception and decision-making through a game-related approach to training. The course is fully practical and provides the coach with training sessions designed to help players apply the functional game skills in a team setting. In 2018 the MWFA will be piloting the Game Training Certificate as a flexible 14 hour program that incorporates a minimum of 7 hours on course face to face contact time and then post course support for coaches to complete the course by completing 2 self-reflections, be mentored and supported by their club CCC or attend one of the MWFA coaching workshops at your club or at Cromer Park.

WELCOME TO THE 2018 REGISTRATION INFORMATION FOR THE AVALON SOCCER CLUB

 

ONLINE REGISTRATIONS FOR ALL JUNIORS and YOUTH, U6 – U18 MIXED AND W8 Girls – W18’S Girls

Registration is now open for the 2018 season at Avalon Soccer Club.  Don’t forget to use your NSW Active Kids Rebate voucher when you register.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE YOU REGISTER

Registration information day: If you are new to Football or the Avalon Soccer club and have any questions, please come down to our registration/information day being held at the Avalon Soccer Club house at Careel Bay playing fields on Saturday the 10th February 2018. Club representatives will be there to answer all your questions and to assist you on how to register on-line. Boots, Balls, Shin pads, bags, shorts and club clothing will also be available to be purchased.

Please note a player must have been born in 2012 or 2013 to be able to play in Under 6

Family Discounts

Discounts are available to family members including dependent children under 18 and their parents and you can choose this in MyFootballClub via the “Purchase additional items” section as an “Add On” when you register.

Please pay full amount for the first player, and then choose Avalon family discount 2nd member “Add On” for the second registration, and Avalon family discount 3rd member “Add On” for the third registration etc

2nd player in family – $10 discount

3rd player in family – $15 discount

4th player in family – $20 discount

5th player in family – $25 discount

Proof of Age

The only acceptable documents to establish proof of age are a birth certificate or passport.

U6 to U9 Players: Players in U6 to U9 do not need to supply Proof of Age.

U12s: Please note that all players who register in the U12s age group (turning 12 in 2018) must email Proof of Age to the Registrar at registrar@avalonsoccerclub.com.au.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PROOF OF AGE IS REQUIRED OF ALL U12 PLAYERS, EVEN IF YOU PLAYED WITH Avalon Soccer Club LAST YEAR.

Any players U10 and above (including all Seniors) who are new to the MWFA: Players registering in U10 and above that have not played before for Avalon Soccer Club or for any other Manly Warringah Football Association (MWFA) club must email Proof of Age to the Registrar.

Photos & Other Documentation

U6 to U11 Players: Players in U6 to U11 do not need to supply a photo.

All players from U12, U14 and U16’s and above must supply a current photo to receive an id card to play.PLEASE UPLOAD A PHOTO WHEN YOU REGISTER ONLINE. If you have problems uploading your photo please email a current head shot photo to the Registrar at registrar@avalonsoccerclub.com.au.

All players from U12 and above who in 2017 did not play WITH the  Avalon Soccer Club or for any other MWFA club must also complete an “2018 MWFA Application to Register” form. Here is the Link

New players from Overseas aged 10 and above: If you’ve never played football in Australia and if you don’t have an Australian passport or birth certificate you will be asked to get an International Transfer Clearance (ITC). Please contact your Registrar asap, at registrar@avalonsoccerclub.com.au.

Please register ASAP: Registrations will be done online by using the MyFootballClub system. Junior and Youth players should ensure that you register online using MyFootballClub ASAP after 1st February, so that team formations and grading sessions can be completed. Late registrations cannot be guaranteed a place on a team.
