Saturday 6th August is BACK TO AVALON SC DAY, celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the club’s amalgamation between the AVALON JUNIOR SOCCER CLUB and the AVALON UTD (SENIORS) in 1982.

This will also mark the last home game of the season, where we will be supporting our Men’s AL1’s at Careel Bay. Our Back to Avalon day will be full of fun for all ages, celebrating our past and present. All are welcome, from current and past players, our supportive sponsors, our incredible volunteers, current and past committee, and of course all members and families. There will be festivities for the kids, an all-day BBQ, food and drink plus much more. Join this historical moment and soak up the community spirit as we look back to our club’s humble beginnings, and look forward to strong growth in the future, developing players and coaches into the next decade and beyond.

In 1982, Avalon Junior Soccer Club merged with Avalon United (Seniors) to form Avalon Soccer Club with both junior and senior teams under the one banner. Today we see this as the birth of our club, however, we understand that football began in Avalon years before. We would love to hear from any members of the football community from this era to form a clearer picture of Avalon Soccer Club’s full history.
