Youth grading for the upcoming 2022 season will take place at Careel Bay on 3 Sundays in February. Time/date allocations for age groups to be finalised. All players MUST be registered to grade.

Grading is mandatory for all players in U10 – U16 for girls and boys as per MWFA guidelines. The grading results play a significant role in ensuring players are in suitable teams, and teams are in the appropriate divisions for competition. For returning players the coaches report from the 2021
season will also be used to evaluate the appropriate level.

Avalon SC will commission professional coaching and grading organisation ‘Game Ready’ (GR) to conduct the gradings, collate the results and forward to the club. The grading results AND the 2021 coaches report are used to allocate players and teams to the appropriate level. This ensures a fair outcome to the best of the clubs abilities and places the player at a level to maximise development and enjoyment.

Note: Some parents do think that their child should be in Liverpool FC’s first 11– even though they’re U6! Please be realistic of your child’s abilities..

Players must arrive with boots, shin pads, sunscreen and plenty of water. Players will register upon arrival at the clubhouse, be briefed on the activities and then take part in a series of skills and games across the fields.

A reminder that only registered players can be graded, so you MUST register before arriving at the club.
