THANK YOU ROB FLEMING

After three years as head coach of our senior men’s team, Rob Fleming is leaving Careel Bay to take on a coaching opportunity with a NSWNPL team.

Rob’s tenure was initially as our player over many years, serving with distinction as a goalkeeper, and then as coach. During his spell at the helm we saw the men’s AL1 squad take on a new look with a number of younger players getting an opportunity to step up into senior football. The AL1 reserves tasted MWFA success in 2020, and the senior team achieved a series of promising results across the last 2 COVID disrupted seasons.

Rob became a mentor for younger players and worked one on one with our younger goalkeepers.

Off the field Rob established a close relationship with One Eighty who have since become a club community partner, and led the squad in a number of charitable endeavours.

We thank Rob for his efforts, and wish him all the best for the future.

Rob’s departure creates an opportunity for a new senior men’s coach. All interested parties please contact president@avalonsoccerclub.com.au.
